The Silver Division for the 2016 Cleveland Open will be the featured event on Sunday with action starting at 8:30 AM. Nine players will be split into three blocks of three with the top two from each group advancing to a six-player playoff. All players will receive a bye in the morning, with Trevor Adams, Darin Watson and Justin Marciniak having a bye in round one.
LEE'S SUMMIT, MISSOURI -- With the challenging turf at Howard Park, the Lee's Summit T-Bone Tournament lines out to be the MCA's equivalent to cycling's Paris Roubaix. On Saturday, the cool temperatures and steady winds added to the atmosphere as 25 dedicated croquet players took to the courts across four divisions.
The Pro Division lived up to the epic conditions as Matt Griffith met Greg Clouse in the final. Griffith was looking for his sixth tournament win while Clouse continued his quest for his first title since the 2013 Stilwell Open. As the game developed, Griffith seemed to have the advantage, but Clouse carefully clawed his way back into the game and in the final minutes held a 20-16 lead off a break that ran out from the turn to 13PW.
LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - It was a windy and cold day at the 2016 Lee's Summit T-Bone Tournament yesterday at Howard Park as 25 croquet warriors went into battle. A full report will be posted later, but here are your early results:
BELTON, MO -- The MCA capped its third season of the Nine Wicket Series with a wild weekend of play at Markey Park in Belton, Missouri. Dylan Goodwin took the Pro Championship with a 17-13 win over Greg Clouse in a hard-fought final, but with four divisions and the Six Ball Open Championship on Friday night there was plenty of hardware to go around.
Deborah Millican probably had the biggest weekend as she took the Six Ball Open Championship in an epic Friday night battle under the lights, then followed that with a 20-11 win in the Gold Championship over Bill Berg claiming both the Gold Shield and overall Gold Points race with 208 points on the season. Bill Berg was second in the Gold Points race with 193 points.
The 2015 Kansas City Open Bronze Division will start play at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, August 2, 2015. This division plays Six Ball rules (one player per ball) with no carry over deadness and 50-minute games. When time expires, the ball in play is in its last turn. Each ball/player gets one last turn. If there is a tie for first place, another full round of last turns is played. Rounds continue until a player emerges with a higher point total.
BELTON, MO -- Matt Griffith steam-rolled his way to a record fourth-straight MCA Nine Wicket Series tournament win claiming a 32-6 win over Greg Clouse in the final at the 2015 Missouri Open at Eagles' Landing Golf Course in Belton, Missouri on Saturday. And with the deepest, 10-player Pro Division in MCA 9WS history, it's not like the rest of the field didn't give it their all on ending Griffith's reign over MCA tournament titles.
BELTON, MO -- The 2015 Missouri Open at Eagles' Landing will have five players in the six-ball Bronze Division. The Bronze Division will play two games and places will be determined by total points in both games.

DRESS CODE: The MCA does not have a dress code, but we do honor the code of host venues. In this case, Eagles' Landing requires that men wear shirts with sleeves. Cut-off shorts are not allowed and frayed jeans are also not permitted.
NO COOLERS: Eagles's Landing Golf Course does not allow coolers on the course. This is to prohibit the use of alcohol and also to encourage usage of the on-site clubhouse.
SIX-BALL RULES:
Six ball follows the same set of rules as the MCA Silver Division, but each player only plays one ball. The order of play is Blue, Red, Black, Yellow, Green, Orange. The first player to run all of the wickets and peg out is the winner. There is a time-limit of 50 minutes. If time runs out before a peg out, each ball gets one last turn. A player earns one point for each wicket run and peg scored. The player with the most points in a non-pegout game is the winner.
A player may not earn bonus shots off of another ball prior to running the first wicket. A player also may not earn bonus shots off of any other ball that has not previously scored the first wicket. If a player that has run the first wicket (in the game), hits his or her ball into a ball that has not scored the first wicket (out of the game), the balls reset and the turn is over.
One bonus shot is earned for running a wicket or scoring the stake. Wickets must be run from the proper side. If a player scores two wickets in one stroke, then two bonus shots are earned. If a player scores a wicket and a stake in the same stroke two bonus strokes are earned. However, a third bonus shot can never be earned (two wickets and a stake, still only results in two bonus shots).
If a player hits another ball, that earns two bonus shots. However, a player may only hit a ball once before scoring a wicket.
Each player gets one, one-minute time out during the game.
If a player withdrawals from a game, that player's ball is removed from the court.
