Six-Ball Championship Cancelled

LEAWOOD, KS -- The rescheduled 2016 MCA Six-Ball Championship Scheduled for today (Sunday, October 9) has been cancelled due to an inadequate number of entries. The MCA will look to bring the event back in 2017.

2016 MCA Six Ball Championship: October 9

CLEVELAND, MO -- The MCA has announced that Bill Berg has agreed to host the 2016 MCA Six-Ball Croquet Championship on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the Cleveland Croquet Club. The original event was scheduled for September 16, 2016 at Markey Park in advance of the MCA Championships, but steady rains that day delayed court markup.'

The event is free for all full MCA members and is $10 for non-MCA members and will start at noon. Each player will be put into a qualifier with the top finishers advancing to a six-player final. Lunch will not be provided at the event.

If you would like to signup for the event, RSVP through the Kansas City Croquet Club Facebook Event Page or contact Dylan Goodwin at Deadline for sign-up is Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m.

MCA Six Ball Championship Postponed

Tonight's MCA Six Ball Championship has been postponed. The rain isn't allowing any gaps for court markup. The issue is primarily the markup and the equipment load/sortation for tomorrow. Spray paint just doesn't work that well in the rain.
An alternate time will be discussed in email and during tomorrow's championships. Belton Parks & Rec has indicated that the field would be available for us Sunday.

2016 MCA Six-Ball Championship Line-up

PLEASE NOTE: The forecast calls for rain both tomorrow and tomorrow evening. We will be relatively aggressive in considering a postponement of the Six-Ball event as it affects the setup for the Saturday Championships. Please follow the Kansas City Croquet Club Facebook Page, MCA Twitter account or this website for a potential cancellation.

Millican Wins 2015 Six Ball Championship

Darin Watson was ready for the rain on Friday nightCROQUET, INTERRUPTED

BELTON, MO -- After a long night of rain delays and tornado sirens, Deborah Millican went on a last ball last turns run to claim the 2015 MCA Six Ball Championship under the lights at Markey Park this evening in Belton, Missouri. The fun started when Dylan Goodwin started a late run but peeled Jason Johnson's blue ball to clear him of severe deadness at wicket five. Goodwin broke down but picked back up another break to start last turns that ended after a missed roquet after 12PW.

Free of deadness, Johnson pieced together a break that looked like it would go the distance. Unfortunately, he dribbled through 11PW and had a hampered shot on the roquet. When he missed, Millican picked it up anc started her break at wicket six. She went all the way around, but as the last ball, the game ended when she cleared 13PW.
