2013 MCA Championship: Gold Division Full of Surprises
BELTON, MO - The 2013 MCA Gold Division Championship offered a day full of surprises. The scene was set with both Bill Berg and Deborah Millican looking to snatch the overall points title as leader Jason Johnson was unable to attend the event. Essentially, both Millican and Berg had a great chance to pass Johnson just by advancing.

The playoff started with veteran six-wicket player Jodi Adams snatching the wildcard game against Justin Marciniak with a 32-16 win to advance. She moved on to face Bill Berg who was the number one seed. She knocked Berg off 32-15 to end his chances in the points race and advance to the final.
In the lower half of the bracket, number two seed Deborah Millican took on number three seed Keith Berg. Berg pulled off the upset and snagged his first playoff with a 21-20 win to knock Millican out of contention for the points title. Berg advanced to the final against Adams, while somewhere Jason Johnson was likely unaware that he had retained the overall points title in the Gold Division.
In the final, Adams stayed hot and pegged out her third straight game with a 32-22 win over Berg to claim the 2013 MCA Gold Division championship.
The three pegged out games was tops in Gold Division play this season.
