The 2021 MCA AGM was held virtually on February 6, 2021, and the meeting mainly centered around bringing back a more active tournament schedule for the upcoming season. Shortly after the meeting, it was confirmed that the Eighth Annual Kansas City Open Nine Wicket Series (9WS) event will be held on the weekend of July 24-25, 2021 at Kactus Creek Croquet Club in Parkville, Mo. In addition, the board also agreed to bring back the traditional date in September for the MCA Championship. The singles Pro, Gold and Silver Championships for the 9WS will be played on Saturday, September 18, 2021. A venue is still be determined and the event could potentially include a second event played on Sunday.
Noting the challenges of planning events with the pandemic still a factor, there is a desire to add two additional regular season events to return the 9WS to four events for 2021.

Steve Jackson agreed to remain on the board and Jodi Adams also remains in her role as treasurer. Ellie Griffith, Ron Millican and Justin Marciniak all are set to leave their positions on the MCA board, but Marciniak will remain in his position temporarily until Goodwin identifies a replacement board member.
GC MEMBER GUEST: The MCA is working on holding a golf croquet member guest doubles event targeted for May and Kactus Creek Croquet Club has shown interest in hosting the event. The concept is targeted as a one-day event and the format is dictates that an existing active member must choose as doubles partner that has not previosly played in an MCA event. The idea is to draw in potential new players and also host a golf croquet event under the MCA name
2021 FEES: Based on the current economic environment, the board agreed that the fee structure will only consist of a $5 per player for MCA organized events and the organization will have no annual membership fee.
