BELTON, MO -- The Midwest Croquet Association has added the Missouri Open at Eagles' Landing in Belton, Missouri for Saturday, June 13, 2015. The new event will be held on four full-size nine wicket courts that will be located on the driving range tee boxes for the public golf club and is the next event in the 2015 MCA Nine Wicket Series.
"This is an incredible opportunity for MCA players," said MCA President Dylan Goodwin. "Outside of Tulsa and Kactus Creek in Parkville, this will be the best surface the Nine Wicket Series has visited."
In addition, Goodwin noted the convenience of the on-site clubhouse which will give the players the opportunity to purchase lunch on site. Entry fees will be $15 for members and $25 for non-members for Pro, Gold and Silver.
"The MCA board is still discussing an appropriate pricing tier for Bronze Division six ball play," said Goodwin.
The Eagles' Landing Golf Club also agreed to allow the Kansas City Croquet Club to run Saturday morning free croquet clinics on May 30 and June 6 as a lead up to the event.
"Eagles' Landing and the Club Pro Jay Kennedy have been fantastic to work with on this event. They see this as a potential multi-year opportunity and a great way to create some fun atmosphere at the club," said Goodwin.
