Teams are forming now for the Fifth annual Mahaffie Sunflower Wickets croquet tournament. This unique event is being hosted by the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm Foundation in support of the preservation, programming and promotion of the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm Historic Site located at 1200 Kansas City Rd. in Olathe.
Sunflower Wickets will be held Friday, June 6 at the new Olathe Community Center, directly located across the street from the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Historic Stie. The event begins at 1:00 p.m. with registration followed by croquet play from1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wicked Wickets Happy Hour 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top four finishing teams at 4:00 p.m. in the Olathe Community Center.
The MCA will provide equipment and referees for the event and has been a part of Sunflower Wickets since the first event in 2010.
